Forms authentication sample and Win XP pro /win 2k3 server
I developed an app which uses the forms authentication sample from microsoft
as a security extension, but since i upgraded my system to sp2 it stopped
working, besides it doent work on a win2k3 server but it works on a win2k,
the problems seems to be with ssl im using the selfssl utility to get my
cerificates as im still working on a test environment, but even if i get a
test certificate from a trusted provider it tells me it doenst trust it. the
message is the following " The underlying connection was closed: Could not
establish trust relationship with remote server. "
this happens when calling the logonuser method using soap, ive tried
changing all the adresses in the config files for https but it doesnt work.Have a look at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;823177
I've used this to get around the same issue in a WinForms app

Forms Authentication in RS 2005
Hello,
Does forms authentication in RS 2005 require Enterprise edition like RS 2000
or will the Standard edition work now?
I heard that RS 2000 SP2 would allow forms auth with the Standard edition,
but still get this message when trying to use it. "This operation is not
supported in this edition of Reporting Services (rsOperationNotSupported)"
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.Custom security will be available with RS 2005 Standard.

Forms authentication & SQL RS 2000 - which versions supported?
Hi,
I was told recently that the SP2 release for SQL RS 2000 made custom (i.e.
Forms) authentication available in the SQL Server 2K Standard edition -
where it had only been available in Enterprise prior to SP2.
Can anyone confirm if this is correct?
Thanks,
ChrisI think this is incorrect. However, my understanding is that custom security
will be available with RS 2005 Standard.

Formatting, pdf, and SP2
I have a strange issue that I need help resolving. Basically, the formatting
on a report that I am exporting to pdf changed when I updated my VS to the
SP2 of the Reporting Services. Here's what I am trying to do and what SP2 did:
I have a report that I created that makes address labels. I made it to where
it has three columns, and it fit 10 rows on one page. It worked great, until
I installed SP2. Now, it will only print three across the top of the page,
then move on to the next page.
So, my questions are: 1) should I reinstall pre-SP2 RS so that I can do this
report the way that I had it, or 2) does anyone know of an example that will
help me to do what I had done in the pre-SP2 installation?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!It sounds weird, and at least I don't know if this is either caused by the
SP2. But what you can do is redefine your report's margins
